A launch event was held this week and was attended by JJH representatives and members of Doncaster Council where we showcased our building designs and plans for this exciting new development.
JJH has worked closely with Doncaster Council and the project team to create a scheme that is sensitive to the existing street, ensuring the design echoes the style and appearance of similar bungalows in the area.
In keeping with JJH ethos of ‘Living Longer, Living Better' the bungalows will support independent living with features including:
- Open plan living-kitchen
- Hob, oven and fridge freezer
- Level access showers
- Energy efficient ‘A’ rated boilers
- Double Glazing
- SUDS sustainable drainage
- Water butts
- Telecare support service by ‘Astraline’
- Secure by Design principles
The properties will be available for over 55s and will provide new affordable homes for shared ownership. There will also be a bespoke bungalow for rent which has been designed to meet the needs of a household with family members suffering from an acute disability.
The scheme has been funded in partnership with Doncaster Council, Homes England and JJH Developments.
Work on site is already underway with our partner contractor Torpoint, with an expected completion date in spring 2019.
