Celebrating Excellence During Customer Service Week

This week, Johnnie Johnson Housing joins organisations worldwide in celebrating Customer Service Week, an annual event dedicated to recognising the importance of customer service and the people who serve and support customers daily. The theme for this year’s Customer Service Week is Above and Beyond, a reminder of the dedication and effort is put into supporting customers.

A week of appreciation

Throughout the week, we have a series of activities planned to help inspire us to go Above and Beyond for our customers:

  • Denise, a member of our Customer Experience Team prepared one of her delicious home-baked cakes, branded with the Above and Beyond logo
  • Leaders from other areas of the business spent time on the phones, taking calls from our customers
  • We are promoting and sharing the support our Customer Service teams provide for our customers
  • Our Customer Service teams are engaging in team building activities throughout the week which help inspire great customer service

I had a great time with our wonderful Customer Experience Team on Wednesday. Learning about the variety of their role, not just the calls they take but all the other elements that they play an integral part in as well…they are dealing with so many complex cases, individual circumstances and emotions on top of the usual day to day calls and it was nice for me to spend time with the team today and see just how much they juggle and how well they do it. The positivity and energy that oozes from the team made my day!

I think they do an amazing job and just want to say thanks to Lisa for letting me be part of team.

Meet Lisa Smallman, Customer Operations Lead

Customer service week enables us to have another focused opportunity to recognise our customers, as well as our colleagues who give outstanding service and go ‘above and beyond’.

For me it is all about listening to our customers to understand how we can support them to live happily in their homes. It’s about being patient and allowing the customer to be heard and then giving solutions that are timely and effective. It is important that our customers know they have different ways to contact us, so they can address any issues that may arise and trust they will get a resolution.
