Johnnie Johnson Housing is a not-for-profit housing association dedicated to offering quality and affordable homes in the North of England. We currently have a portfolio of almost 5,000 homes, which are used by our 7,000+ customers across the North West, North East, Yorkshire and Derbyshire.
Johnnie Johnson Housing is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sanctuary.

We are Johnnie Johnson Housing part of Sanctuary Group (“Sanctuary”) one of the UK's leading providers of housing, care and commercial services. Our head office address is Chamber Court, Castle Street, Worcester, Worcestershire, WR1 3ZQ.

Our Story

In 1969, the decorated Second World War hero, pilot and flying ace Johnnie Johnson set up Johnnie Johnson Housing LTD. Johnnie set up JJH with the intention of providing affordable homes and great services for their residents. Like Johnnie himself, Johnnie Johnson Housing has always had a close connection to the armed forces and veterans.

In 2018, we signed the Armed Forces Covenant, along with the Greater Manchester Housing Group community. The Armed Forces Covenant is a pledge that means we respect those that serve, have served in the armed forces, as well as their families. This pledge also means that we ensure fair treatment and respect when engaging with our business.
