Carron House residents are really making an effort to bring a sense of community back to their lives!
All residents have been enjoying supporting one another and coming up with different ideas to bring the homely feeling back to their building.
“On Sunday 9th October our lovely group teamed together to put on a Sunday dinner for other residents and all were welcome. They worked really hard coming up with this idea and outsourced to the local community who managed to generously donate all the food for the Sunday dinner. It was such a hit with many of the residents that they are going to continue doing this each week for a small fee of £5 for a 3-course meal with a hot drink. All proceeds will go towards food for the following Sunday.”

Community Housing Officer
Following generous donations from the local community, Carron House were also given lots of milk and bread. There was plenty to spare, so it was offered to any residents who wanted to help themselves.
Residents have also been cleaning out the communal lounge. Resident, Mark kindly took a good deal of clutter to the tip, before clearing space in the communal cupboard, to store all the food donations for upcoming events.
It is wonderful to watch all our residents come together and inspire each other to help their neighbours, injecting a new lease of life back to Carron House. We hope this will inspire similar events across Johnnie Johnson Housing.
