Invisible Creations create beautifully designed accessible products that help people live well in their homes. The company is now looking to design their next range of products for outside of the home. Their new range of products will help people enjoy their outdoor spaces safely and in style.

Laura Wood, Director at Invisible Creations visited our residents at Boulmer Court, to gather their feedback on any outdoor areas around the properties that are more challenging to access. Boulmer Court is an independent living property based in Durham with 44 apartments. Residents at this property benefit from communal areas which include communal lounge, kitchen, garden and laundry. During Laura’s visit our residents offered suggestions and inspiration for different products that could help to make accessing their garden or outside space much easier.

Wellbeing Officer, Amy Bell told us: “Residents had a lovely afternoon chatting to Laura and came up with some great ideas.”

Laura will visit Boulmer Court in November to show residents the final designs, and in early 2024 with some prototypes.

This is a really exciting partnership for us to be involved in!

Invisible Creations® is all about designing for dignity. We believe homes should be a haven, not a hospital and products designed to help you remain independent should be attractive, not clinical. We combine everyday household items, such as toilet roll holders, shelves and planters, with support rails to produce a range of grab rails in disguise, providing people with all the help they need to get around the home without needing to compromise on style.

We started off with our plant pot holder grab rail to help people get in and out of the house, as we know many homes have steps at the front and back doors which can make it a little tricky, and we now want to design more products that can help people get around garden to enjoy your outdoor space safely and in style.

We’re looking to design our next range of products which will see us develop new grab rails for the outside of people’s homes. We’re delighted to be collaborating with Johnnie Johnson residents who are helping provide feedback on any outdoor areas that may be a bit challenging and product suggestions that would make accessing your garden or outside space much easier.
