Listening to our customers – JJH and Sanctuary potential partnership
The potential partnership between Johnnie Johnson Housing and Sanctuary stands as a testament to our shared vision of creating homes that meet our customers’ needs as much as for now and for the future. Following the exciting news that we are in partnership discussions with Sanctuary, with a view to joining them as a subsidiary, we are now actively seeking feedback, thoughts, and opinions from those who matter the most – our customers.
Firstly, we hosted two online business update sessions where a number of JJH customers joined and heard about the possible benefits from this partnership and asked questions on how the partnership may affect them and their homes. Following the two online sessions we have created a frequently asked questions document which reflects all the questions and answers raised during the sessions.
Continuing to invest in homes and services
Johnnie Johnson Housing have always worked hard to do best, what matters most for our residents, and to be able to continue to invest in homes and services. We are keen to ensure that Sanctuary could furthermore assist us in being able to fulfil our ambitions. The offer from Sanctuary includes circa £100 million additional investment over 30 years and will enable us to:
- Deliver our fully developed zero carbon plan for our homes.
- Carry out the reinvestment identified through our recent stock condition survey programmes.
- Complete identified fire safety works.
- Implement our analogue to Digital Programme (Well Connected programme).
- Reinstate the development of much needed new homes.
Empowering voices through ‘Tenant Involvement and Empowerment’
As part of the guidance from the regulatory ‘Tenant Involvement and Empowerment’, we are asking for further feedback from our customers. The ‘Tenant Involvement and Empowerment’ underlines the significance of involving residents in decisions that directly affect their living environments.
To assist us in ensuring your views are heard, we are inviting all JJH customers to submit their feedback by midday on Friday 25 August 2023.
Raise your questions and provide general comments and feedback in one of the following ways:
- Email Lucy Nixon, Communications and Marketing Manager via communications@jjhousing.co.uk
- Speak directly with your Community Housing Officer
- Call our Customer Experience Team on 0345 305 5335
Once the consultation period is over on Friday 25 August 2023, you will still be able to submit any questions and feedback on the ways listed above.
